Traditional religion leaders in Osun State have assured Governor Ademola Adeleke and residents that the withheld local government funds will soon be released.

The assurance came from Dr. Oluseyi Atanda, President of the Traditional Religion Worshippers Association (TRAWSO), during the 2025 Isese Day celebration in Osogbo on Wednesday.

Atanda said state officials had sought spiritual intervention over the crisis, and divination revealed that Osun would overcome the financial setback caused by the federal government’s seizure of council allocations.

“Yes, we have prayed and made divination, and Ifa revealed that the state would be victorious in the ongoing fund seizure by the federal government,” Atanda said. “But after the victory, the government should not be ungrateful and embark on thanksgiving in churches or mosques. They must give regard to whom it is due.”

Also speaking at the event, Kehinde Oloke, Special Adviser to the Governor on Traditional Matters, described the revelation as genuine and expressed confidence that the state would prevail.

Oloke stressed that the government recognises all faiths in its development agenda and urged religious harmony as vital to progress.
