President Muhammadu Buhari, a retired army general, made a grand appearance at the Nigerian Army Trooping and Presentation of Colours Parade 2023.
The ceremony, which took place at the Eagle Square, was graced by a number of high-ranking officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, and the Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba.
Also in attendance were Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
President Buhari was donned in ceremonial military attire, and he was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
