Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has signed Executive Order No. 002 of 2024 to establish the Rivers State Investment Promotion Agency. This new agency aims to streamline the influx of business interests and investments into the state, following recommendations from the Rivers State Economic and Investment Summit held in May. The agency will serve as a central hub for investors, providing a one-stop-shop for all related activities, thereby preventing investors from falling into the wrong hands. Governor Fubara emphasized that this initiative is part of his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the state’s economy, particularly in healthcare and agriculture. The agency will also facilitate various investment opportunities, including Public-Private Partnerships and the commercialization of state-owned assets.
