The Nashville police department has released surveillance footage revealing a 28-year-old woman, Audrey Hale, entering the Christian Covenant School with at least two assault rifles and a handgun on Monday.
Hale, a former student of the school, opened fire after entering from a side door, killing six individuals.
In a tweet, the Nashville police shared the video with the caption, “Active shooter Audrey Elizabeth Hale drove to Covenant Church/School in her Honda Fit, parked, and shot her way into the building.
She was armed with 2 assault-type guns and a 9 millimeter pistol.”
The shooter was later identified as Hale, who was shot dead by police officers on the scene.
The incident has caused widespread shock and concern among the Nashville community, and investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the shooting.
