Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has presented a detailed account of his administration’s performance over the past three years to Anambra indigenes residing in the United States and North America.
The interactive session, held in Maryland, is part of a series of global diaspora engagements aimed at deepening transparency and encouraging investment in the state.
According to a statement by the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, the meeting was not a campaign event but a continuation of Soludo’s commitment to inclusive governance and democratic accountability.
“Governor Soludo’s decision to embark on this Diaspora engagement at a time when others would be focusing solely on the upcoming election speaks volumes about his leadership philosophy,” the statement read.
The event follows earlier town halls hosted by the governor in Lagos, Abuja, and the United Kingdom, where he highlighted his administration’s progress and responded to citizens’ concerns.
The Maryland meeting offered another opportunity to showcase achievements and rally the support of the diaspora in driving development back home.
“While his opponents are busy making grand declarations or criticizing his government,” Aburime noted, “Governor Soludo is busy reporting back to the people, proving that his administration values transparency and performance over political theatrics.”
Soludo also used the occasion to call on Ndi Anambra abroad to “think home” and contribute to the state’s growth through investments, partnerships, and civic engagement.
The scorecard presentation reinforces Soludo’s positioning of governance as an ongoing contract—not a campaign-season gimmick—anchored on performance and accountability.
