The Minister of Works, David Umahi, says the South-East zone of the country would not be part of any protest planned against economic hardship in the country.

Umahi made this known in Abakaliki in reaction to the planned nationwide protest in Nigeria over economic hardship, assuring that the federal government is making hard decisions to restore the country’s lost glory.

The Minister warned those instigating division in the country to desist from such, as it amounts to a waste of time, noting that South-East people are not endangered and should avoid sit-at-home because of its economic sabotage and self-inflicted injury.

He also urged Nigerians to support the legacy projects of President Bola Tinubu, explaining that the coastal highway is coming with huge economic benefits that cut across the country.
