The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum has waded into the protracted political crisis in Rivers State.

Recall that Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his political godfather, now FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, have been at loggerheads, thereby breaking the State House of Assembly into factions, sparking concerns over the silence of the PDP leadership.

The PDP governors, in a communiqué read by the chairman of the Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, at the end of their meeting in Enugu on Wednesday, declared their support for Fubara.

The governors, who acknowledged the crises in the Rivers State Chapter of the party, said they have resolved to employ wider consultations with stakeholders for a peaceful resolution of the crises.
