In a concerning revelation, more than seven million electricity customers in Nigeria are left in the dark without meters, grappling with estimated bills from distribution companies. As power sector operators urge an end to subsidies, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) reports that only 44.51 percent of registered customers are metered.
