Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, a lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education (P.H.E) at the University of Maiduguri, met a tragic end when unknown assailants violently attacked him in his office on Sunday.

According to sources close to the deceased, the assailants, who are yet to be identified, ambushed Dr. Abdulkadir in his office and subjected him to a brutal assault using a knife and hammer.

Tragically, Dr. Abdulkadir was discovered later, lying lifeless in a pool of his own blood, with multiple injuries inflicted on his body by his attackers.

Describing the horrific ordeal, one source recounted, “His hands were mutilated in an attempt to defend himself, and his assailants mercilessly struck him with a hammer, resulting in fatal injuries to his head and spinal cord.”

In addition to the heinous act, the perpetrators also made off with Dr. Abdulkadir’s vehicle and other valuables, further compounding the tragedy.

As authorities intensify efforts to apprehend the suspects, inquiries made to the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kenneth Daso, have yet to yield any confirmation at this time.
